Our Plans
The second floor will include the following:
Access via an ADA-compliant elevator.
An expanded Art Books reading room.
A protected local history and archives room.
The Woodstock Authors Room.
Study and Collaboration Studios.
A Makerspace.
A large Community Room.
Staff Rooms and the Staff Lounge.
In late 2020 trustees began exploring the feasibility of purchasing the office building at 10 Dixon Avenue, the former home of Miller/Howard Investments, to reinvent it as the library facility that Woodstockers have asked for.
On Tuesday, May 10, 2022, a vote was held by the Woodstock Library to seek approval from the community to issue a $3.95 million bond. The approval was granted by a 63% to 37% majority. On June 30, 2022, the library purchased 10 Dixon Ave using proceeds from the bond.
Since the purchase of the building, the Library Board has been working with architects, engineers, and other building professionals to finalize the renovations that will be made to 10 Dixon Ave to convert it from an office space into a library that will meet the community’s needs today and in the future.
While the Detailed Design (DD) and Construction Design (CD) plans are being finalized, the Library Board is inviting the community to tour the building and hear our plans for repurposing it. You can join a tour by clicking on the button below.
